Larsa Web Component Design System
A personal web-component library and the design layer for a character-development platform I was building — my own sandbox for the standards-based approach I work in professionally.
The brief
Larsa is a personal component library and the design layer for a character-development platform I’d been building on the side. I wanted a place to push the web-component approach on my own terms — the same standards-based direction I take at work — without a client’s constraints in the way.
Approach
The components are built as framework-agnostic custom elements, documented in Storybook, and driven by a shared set of design tokens so the platform’s UI stays consistent as it grows. Because they’re standards-based, they aren’t tied to whichever framework the platform’s app happens to run on.
Where it stands
It’s a working, documented library and an ongoing sandbox — the place I try component patterns and token structures before they land anywhere more permanent.
